A note about privacy.

Effort Notes adds only the recovery metrics you select to the destination you approve. Automatic publishing starts only after you approve a preview and enable the rule. You can pause it or disconnect at any time.

What the service stores

Your Strava account identifier, display name, connection permissions, automation settings, Garmin recovery summaries and recent publishing jobs. Provider credentials and stored health summaries are encrypted before they enter the database. Login sessions are stored as hashes. Your provider passwords are never requested or stored.

What becomes visible

Private Notes are visible only to you in Strava. A description is visible to the activity’s audience. We never send a failed private-note update to a description instead. Choose which audiences your description rule is allowed to update. Later changes to activity visibility happen in Strava and can change who sees an existing description.

How long data stays

Garmin recovery summaries are kept for up to 90 days to support dated notes and personal baselines. Strava job records and temporary text used to verify an update are removed after seven days. Provider credentials remain while the account is connected. Sessions expire after seven days. Expired records are cleaned by the background service.

Export, disconnect and delete

Use the account controls to download your data, disconnect a provider or delete your account. Disconnecting stops automation and removes imported recovery data and recent jobs. Account deletion removes your stored profile, connections, settings and recovery records after provider revocation succeeds. If a provider cannot be reached, the app reports that deletion is incomplete so you can retry. Text already posted to Strava remains there until you remove it in Strava.

Processing and access

The hosted service uses Cloudflare Workers and D1. It does not send recovery data to an AI model, sell it, or use advertising trackers. This automation does not require an AI connection. Provider permissions and supported metrics can change.

Early-access status

The service is under development. Provider connections and automatic publishing are available only when marked ready in the app. The final operator contact details and production privacy terms must be supplied before public account registration opens.
